This collaboration will enable Qatar Airways to leverage Google Cloud’s robust tools, including BigQuery and Vertex AI, to extract valuable insights from its vast troves of customer data. These insights will allow the airline to offer highly personalized travel experiences, tailored to the unique needs, preferences, and travel histories of each passenger.

In 2022, Qatar Airways catered to 18.5 million passengers across 150 destinations, accumulating an extensive amount of data. The airline’s digital transformation team plans to utilize this data with Google Cloud’s cutting-edge solutions to drive customer-focused innovations.

Ghassan Kosta, Qatar Country Manager at Google Cloud, highlighted the transformative power of AI and ML, stating that these tools enable businesses to make intelligent, real-time decisions and provide personalized experiences. He emphasized that Qatar Airways, known for its exceptional Qatari hospitality, can now offer passengers customized travel recommendations akin to having a personal travel agent.

Beyond enhancing customer experiences, the partnership will explore additional opportunities for collaboration. These include leveraging cloud tools to optimize costs, streamline operations, and boost overall efficiency.

A key focus of Qatar Airways’ digital transformation strategy is sustainability. By utilizing Google Cloud, recognized as the industry’s cleanest cloud, the airline plans to implement innovative programs to support its sustainability goals by 2030.
