Leading Leisure Airline to Enhance Boston Logan and New England Airports
The leading leisure carrier in Boston announced significant strategic changes to invest in and expand its presence across New England. By this winter, the airline plans to increase its seat capacity in the region by an impressive 20 percent. The additional service and new routes aim to connect more New Englanders to premium leisure destinations. The airline will enhance operations at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and other New England airports, and it will launch service for the first time from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) in Manchester, New Hampshire.
JetBlue takes pride in leading both Boston and New England, offering the most mainline service from Boston, with approximately 30 percent more mainline seats than the next largest carrier. The airline also provides the most nonstop destinations from Boston, and the most flights from Boston and New England to California, Florida, and the Caribbean. This network expansion will offer even more flexibility and convenience for New England customers as JetBlue continues to deliver popular vacation hotspots.

Manchester, Meet JetBlue
Manchester is set to become the tenth airport in New England served by JetBlue, joining the ranks of the recently announced service from Presque Isle, Maine, launching in September. JetBlue flights from Manchester will commence in January, offering routes to Florida, including year-round daily flights to Orlando and winter seasonal service to Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers. Notably, the Fort Lauderdale route will be the only nonstop flight available. Manchester flights are now on sale and will enhance JetBlue’s presence in the region, complementing the focus city operation at Boston Logan and providing loyal customers with more options.
New Service for Boston and Beyond
Having proudly served Boston Logan for over 20 years, JetBlue will expand its offerings to popular vacation destinations. These include Aruba, Barbados, Cancún, Grand Cayman, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Liberia, Miami, Montego Bay, Nassau, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Punta Cana, Providenciales, Sarasota, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Tampa, and more. Additionally, JetBlue will introduce a second daily nonstop flight between Boston and Phoenix, featuring the airline’s premium Mint® service for the first time on this route.
Significant growth is also expected in Providence, where JetBlue seats will nearly triple this winter compared to last year. Hartford will see a 30 percent increase in JetBlue seats during the same period. With the new service in Manchester, JetBlue will average 18 new daily departures from New England this winter, including six new routes between New England and the Sunshine State.

JetBlue, New York’s Hometown Airline®, is expanding its service within the Empire State, with new routes in Buffalo, Albany, and Syracuse. Starting in October, JetBlue will launch the only nonstop seasonal service from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). This new route, along with additional daily flights from Buffalo and Albany to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, and a second daily flight from Syracuse to Orlando, will offer Upstate New Yorkers more options to connect to sunny Florida during the winter months.
JetBlue will also begin service from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) for the first time, offering daily flights to Orlando, and four-times weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. These new routes will provide better service for JetBlue’s loyal customers on Long Island.
Increased Florida Service
With these new additions, JetBlue is reinforcing its position as a leading carrier in Florida. By February, JetBlue will average more than 225 daily flights from Florida, an 8% increase compared to the previous year. This expansion highlights JetBlue’s commitment to the region and its strategy to focus on leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) travel, providing more options for customers to fly to top destinations in Florida.
Upgraded Fleet for a Better Experience
JetBlue is excited to announce that it has replaced over half of its Embraer E190 fleet with the new Airbus A220 aircraft. This transition offers a significant upgrade in comfort and efficiency, with the A220 featuring quieter, more fuel-efficient engines, a new 2×3 seating configuration with the widest coach seats of any single-aisle aircraft, extra-large overhead bins, larger windows, custom mood lighting, and USB-C, USB-A, and AC power outlets at every seat.
“We have already taken delivery of more than 30 A220s and replaced over 60% of our E190s, so this transition is well underway,” said St. George. “Boston, in particular, will heavily benefit from the new planes, as the E190s operate most frequently out of Logan Airport. Whether it’s the extra space or the modern amenities, we believe our customers will love the enhanced travel experience aboard the A220. With its customer-centered design, the A220 represents our commitment to providing the best onboard product.”
