This ain’t Texas…. or the Country Music Awards.

Beyoncé may have been famously snubbed at last year’s CMA Awards, but her country album Cowboy Carter was redeemed tonight at the 2025 Grammy Awards winning for Best Country Album.

Queen Bey was stunned when Taylor Swift announced she was the winner in the category, which boasted an impressive list of competitors that included Chris Stapleton (Higher), Kacey Musgraves (Deeper Well), Post Malone (F-1 Trillion) and Lainey Wilson (Whirlwind).

“Wow, I really was not expecting this,” the 43-year-old explained as she accepted the award. “Wow. I want to thank God. Oh my God! That I’m able to still do what I love after so many years. Oh my God. I’d like to thank all the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on it.”

As her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy looked on from the crowd, the “Blackbird” diva let the crowd know that she was happy to be blazing a trail for future artists to defy genres to be true to themselves.

Earlier today (Feb. 2), the “16 Carriages” singer announced in a video on her Instagram page that she will be embarking on a Cowboy Carter Tour to celebrate the project, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

No other details regarding the upcoming tour have been shared at this time.
