In order to meet its business operation needs and facilitate its recovery, Hong Kong Airlines is introducing additional Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft to its route network. This move comes alongside intensified recruitment efforts to secure local and international talent necessary to support the airline’s operations.

The first A330 widebody aircraft successfully completed its inaugural flight to Bangkok on 21 June, just in time to cater to the pent-up summer travel demand. Excitingly, two more A330s will be added this summer, further bolstering the carrier’s capacity to provide exceptional service and expand its route network. With a total of three additional A330 widebody aircraft joining its fleet, Hong Kong Airlines is confident in its ability to meet passengers’ needs and drive business recovery.

Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr. Hou Wei, expressed satisfaction with the recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday ticket sales, which reached a peak since the pandemic’s onset. The load factor even surpassed pre-pandemic levels by 7%, indicating a positive trajectory in profitability and a testament to the airline’s ongoing flight resumption efforts. Hong Kong Airlines plans to accelerate flight recovery, ensuring the expansion of its flight destination network.

The A330-300 widebody aircraft is renowned for its fuel efficiency, making it a favored choice in the aviation industry. It boasts a total of 292 seats, with 32 in Business Class and 260 in Economy Class. The aircraft has been refurbished with Hong Kong Airlines’ signature seat covers, offering a spacious and comfortable cabin that enhances the passenger experience.
