Kansai Airports Enhances Emergency Protocols with New Multilingual Drill
Kansai Airports is excited to host a flood season drill at Kansai International Airport (KIX) on July 12, 2024. This exercise aims to enhance our multilingual support system and offer effective help to travelers potentially stranded due to public transport shutdowns following a typhoon impact. The drill will simulate an overnight stay scenario for customers at the airport. Participants will engage in training using the Emergency Information Card, designed to cater to individual needs and language preferences. This event will occur at Terminal 2, focusing on improving both multilingual assistance and support for stranded passengers.
Our goal with these drills is to boost disaster preparedness among airport staff, verify safety protocols, and enhance our information dissemination capabilities. The Kansai Airports Group remains committed to ensuring travel safety and fostering a worry-free environment at our airports.
