A recent contract has been signed between the Mermec Group and the Government of Philippines to improve the capabilities of the country in keeping a vigilant eye on the procedures related to railway infrastructure, safety, and maintenance. The agreement was signed by the Group. It is the leading company of Italy specialized in technologies in terms of maintenance and safety of the railway networks and is part of Angel Holding, managed by President Vito Pertosa, at the time of a ceremony organized in Manila.

The contract, which highlights a pledge to capitalize the future of the country’s transport systems, training program that are highly specialized for Filipino technicians and engineers. The main target is to draw highly qualified professionals who are at present working abroad to return to their country, aligning with the vision of the President, Bongbong Marco, that emphasizes the significance of enhancing the lives of the people, endorsing social inclusion, and safeguarding the environment via progressions in transport.
