Mikha, whose real name is Mikhaela Janna Jimenea Lim, is a popular member of the Filipino girl group BINI. Mikha, the group’s main rapper, lead dancer, and visual artist, was born in Cebu on November 8, 2003, making her the third youngest member. She had a solid foundation and a strong desire to perform before entering the spotlight.

Because of her father, Mikha had a musical upbringing. She used to love joining him in karaoke sessions when they were younger. Although she didn’t compete in singing, this pastime helped ignite her enthusiasm in singing. Before settling in San Juan City, Metro Manila, Mikha’s family moved around a lot when she was growing up, residing in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and Silang, Cavite.

Mikha joined her school’s cheerleading squad throughout her high school years. She learned flexibility, tumbling, and cheerleading from this experience. Her future in the performing arts was made possible by these abilities.

Mikha tried out for the Star Hunt Auditions in Quezon City in 2018. She was chosen from 250 applicants to attend a five-day boot camp, and in the early months of 2019, she started as a trainee at Star Hunt Academy. Mikha received instruction from Filipino voice trainers Kitchy Molina and Anna Graham, as well as dance coaches Mickey Perz and Matthew Almodovar, at SHA to hone her singing and dancing abilities.

With the assistance of MU Doctor Academy, Mikha also received extensive instruction in the Korean art and discipline of singing and dancing. She improved her abilities and was ready for a future in music as a professional thanks to this training.

Mikha took part in a number of public performances when she was a trainee. She gave performances at ABS-CBN mall shows and events, such as FITFIL: Youth Against Drug, a 2019 National Youth Commission event where she received a Youth Ambassador designation. She also gave a performance at the Thanksgiving feast of the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games.

To protect their safety during the COVID-19 epidemic, Mikha and her fellow recruits resumed their training in Camp Star Hunt. They were able to bond and concentrate on their development during this time of intense training.

Mikha, one of the final eight female students, graduated from Star Hunt Academy on October 10, 2020. Her official membership in the idol group BINI was revealed. BINI’s adventure in the music industry began with the release of their pre-debut single, “Da Coconut Nut,” in November 2020.

BINI members Mikha and others performed song and dance covers, including “Da Coconut Nut,” on series including It’s Showtime, ASAP Natin ‘To, and Magandang Buhay that air on ABS-CBN Entertainment. Their concerts gave them more exposure and a growing fan following.

On June 11, 2021, BINI released their debut single, “Born To Win,” marking their formal debut. A major turning point in Mikha’s career was the two-part event BINI: The Launch. Mikha is the group’s primary rapper, lead dancer, and visual, therefore her skill and on-stage persona have been essential to BINI’s success.

BINI has proceeded to release a number of tracks and music videos since their debut. Due to their upbeat live shows and infectious music, they have a devoted following known as “Bloom.” Their increasing fame is largely due to Mikha’s contributions as a performer.
