Monique Samuels, a former cast member of Real Housewives of Potomac, is keeping fans informed about the status of her divorce from Chris Samuels, which she finalized in 2023.

In an interview with Dear Future Wifey, the 41-year-old disclosed that she does not get child support or alimony from her ex-husband. “When we sat down to draft our prenuptial agreement, we did so with the intention of saying, ‘I don’t ever want you thinking I want what you have or want you for what you have,’” Monique stated in the podcast’s December 4 episode.

“We conducted things as though I was still his business manager because I was working for him, regardless of the salary.”

What the Former Reality TV Star disclozes

In essence, the former reality TV star clarified that the deal would guarantee she received payment for all the years she supported her ex-husband without having a formal job.

Samuels acknowledges that the arrangement had flaws since it failed to account for their three shared children. The ex-couple has two sons, Christopher and Chase, and a daughter, Milani.

The TV celebrity did, however, receive a lump sum payment as part of the divorce settlement, which she utilized to buy a house for herself and her kids.

Chris and Monique got married in March 2012, but after the TV celebrity filed for divorce, they broke up in 2023. The couple’s dissolution was caused by a number of factors, including unfulfilled needs, traumatic experiences, and communication difficulties.

However, Monique stated in a chat on her YouTube channel in August that she and Chris get along well, that co-parenting is going well, and that she’s in a better place all around.
