Flights from Moscow to Geneva will recommence on August 15 for residents of Switzerland, according to a Saturday report from the TASS news agency, which quoted the Swiss embassy in Moscow. The report mentioned that travelers from Russia must undergo a 10-day quarantine upon arrival.

Earlier, a Russian government coronavirus response center had announced that flights between Moscow and Geneva would initially operate weekly, without noting any restrictions. Russia, having conducted repatriation flights during the coronavirus lockdown, restarted some scheduled international flights on Saturday to the UK, Turkey, and Tanzania. International flights were suspended on March 30 when the lockdown was implemented to control the spread of coronavirus, which has affected over 845,000 people in Russia, resulting in more than 14,000 deaths. In June, Russia announced a partial reopening of its borders, allowing travel abroad for work, education, medical treatment, or to care for relatives.

Moscow, Russia’s bustling capital, is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, featuring landmarks like the Kremlin and Red Square.
