As part of their VIP package, arriving guests are greeted immediately upon exiting the aircraft and escorted to a luxurious lounge, where they can relax for up to three hours—typically sufficient for most transfers. However, in rare cases where guests must wait longer for their resort transfer, Priority Maldives offers a complimentary visit to a rooftop restaurant located about 15 minutes from the airport. Guests are transported in a private vehicle and can enjoy this unique experience before being escorted back to the airport to connect with their resort transfer.

The rooftop venue offers an uninterrupted bird’s-eye view of the lagoon and the distant blue ocean, creating a truly spectacular sight. The experience becomes even more captivating when the sea is slightly rough, as the location is known for its massive waves, which can be admired from the perfect vantage point of the rooftop. While it’s not a surf spot, the distant view of the waves provides a stunning and serene backdrop, making it an ideal way to spend an hour or two.

Priority Maldives also extends this exceptional service to departing guests who desire an elevated level of comfort. Once the service is reserved, the travel agent coordinates with the resort to monitor the guest’s return to the airport. Upon arrival, guests are escorted to the lounge, where they can enjoy international cuisine and drinks in comfort while other travelers proceed through the departure terminal. For those with more than three hours before their flight, a visit to the rooftop restaurant may be offered, as lounge check-in begins three hours before departure time.

The rooftop restaurant is situated in Hulhumale’, a planned city seamlessly connected to Velana International Airport via a highway. While Hulhumale’ offers this distinctive dining experience, the capital city, Male’, also boasts several rooftop restaurants, some with stunning seaside views and others set within the urban landscape. Although the waves by the sea provide a more visually captivating and soothing experience, there may be times when opting for Male’ is more suitable.
