Sherrexcia Rexy Rolle becomes CEO of Western Air, bringing 15+ years of expertise and joining the 8% of female airline CEOs.

Sherrexcia Rexy Rolle, Esq. has been appointed as the new President, CEO, and Accountable Manager of Western Air, the leading privately-held airline in The Bahamas, starting from January 1st, 2024. Rexy is part of the exclusive 8% of female airline CEOs and brings over 15 years of industry expertise to her new role. She previously excelled as the Vice President of Operations & General Counsel for more than nine years. An expert in Aviation & Corporate Law, Rexy has been instrumental in Western Air’s upgrade to a homogenous fleet of nine Embraer ERJ 145 50-seater jets and the inauguration of new routes, including the company’s maiden U.S. service between Nassau & Fort Lauderdale. Her leadership was pivotal in the 2015 launch and recent reopening of the Western Air Freeport Passenger Terminal, guiding the airline through Hurricane Dorian and the Covid-19 pandemic challenges.

Rexy is celebrated for her comprehensive involvement in the airline’s operations and legal aspects. “Her dedication to our passenger services is exceptional, and she’s always actively involved in the daily management and legal facets of Western Air. The President & CEO role was previously held by Capt. Rex Rolle, who has now transitioned to the Chairman of the Board position. Capt. Rolle, a co-founder of Western Air along with his wife Shandrice Woodside, brings over four decades of aviation experience to his new role.

In her new capacity, Rexy emphasizes her commitment to customer-centric operations and the mission of Western Air. Having been a witness to the airline’s inception, she recognizes its roots and envisions unlocking further potential.
