Passengers seeking winter adventures have a plethora of options this year as Heathrow Airport introduces 11 new airline routes. Among these offerings is the UK’s exclusive direct link to Peru, increased flights to global ski destinations unmatched by any other UK airport, and heightened competition on popular routes like Dubai and the Maldives.

As the winter season officially commences on October 29, Heathrow passengers now enjoy an unprecedented level of choice. The airport, recently recognized as the world’s most connected, serves 239 destinations in 89 countries.

Ross Baker, Chief Commercial Officer is overjoyed that eleven new airline routes will be starting this winter at Heathrow. He said: “With more global ski destinations on offer than any other UK airport, passengers can enjoy even more choice this winter, with additions such as Turin and Salzburg.”

Lima – LATAM Airlines
Explore Lima, Peru’s capital, this winter, home to the world’s smallest church and tallest sand dunes. A direct UK connection from December 2nd via Terminal 3 offers exciting travel and trade opportunities.

Salzburg – Lufthansa
Salzburg, our third Austrian destination, offers access to premier ski resorts and cultural attractions. With 66 ski options, it’s a haven for winter sports enthusiasts. Flights from Terminal 2 begin December 16th, providing winter inspiration for travelers.

Friedrichshafen – Lufthansa
3.6 million passengers flew between Heathrow and Germany last year. For winter travelers heading to Friedrichshafen, Lake Constance, the largest inland body of water in Germany, awaits. Flights from Terminal 2 to witness this wonder start on December 16th.

Dubai – Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic’s Terminal 3 flights offer ample opportunities, making Dubai the second most popular destination with over 1 million passengers in 2022, right after New York.

Maldives – Virgin Atlantic
