Textron Aviation’s Beechcraft Denali single-engine turboprop has achieved significant milestones, entering the certification flight test phase after obtaining FAA Type Inspection Authorization earlier this year. Each milestone reached has provided invaluable insights into the aircraft’s strength, capability, and durability. Recently, the clean-sheet aircraft successfully underwent the first on-aircraft certification ground and flight testing of its avionics systems.

Manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, the Beechcraft Denali embodies cutting-edge design and engineering.

With a fleet of three flight test aircraft, totaling nearly 2,000 flight test hours and over 830 flights, the program is steadily progressing towards anticipated FAA certification in 2025.

In the Denali cockpit, you’ll find the Garmin G3000 avionics suite, known for its user-friendly interface and high-resolution screens. The suite includes touchscreen controllers for seamless operation. A notable standard feature is the integrated Garmin autothrottle, which connects with the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) and Flight Management System (FMS), facilitating easy speed management from takeoff to landing.

Additionally, the G3000 boasts other standard features such as a 10-inch weather radar, Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS-B), and dual transponders equipped with automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities. These features ensure compliance with the latest air traffic control requirements.
